History

1953

Established as a limited partnership company, Shibayama Woodworking, in Atsuta Ward, Nagoya City.

1964

The company name was changed to Fuji Furniture Industry Co., Ltd.

1965

Head office and factory relocated to Miyoshi City, Aichi Prefecture. Since then, the company has specialized in manufacturing storage chests, shipping to department stores, large specialty stores, and wholesalers nationwide.

1967

Construction of product warehouse.

1968

A showroom was opened adjacent to the head office. In addition to selling its own products directly, the company also sells furniture in general through its own distribution channels.

1970

Capital increased to 21.6 million yen.

1971

Head office showroom and product management warehouse construction.

1972

Nagoya Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Promotion Company underwrites capital increase of 20 million yen, bringing capital to 51.1 million yen.

1981

Capital increased to 70 million yen.

1987

Newly constructed showroom at the head office.

2000

The first Ashley Home Store in Japan opens next to the head office showroom.

2008

Ashley Home Store Yokohama opened in Aoba Ward, Yokohama. Song Dream Nagoya store opens in Midori Ward, Nagoya.

2012

Song Dream Kobe store opens in Higashinada Ward, Kobe City.

2015

Ashley Home Store Kobe store opens in Higashinada Ward, Kobe City.

2018

Song Dream Yokohama store opens in Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama.

2023

Ashley Home Store Yokohama store and Yokohama Delivery Center relocated to Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama City.
